Checking in. I hunt the lakes region of New Hampshire, lots of oaks, beech and swamps. Only have one real nice shooter coming in to the cameras this year but he's a corker. Goodluck everybody.
Here are the best 2 bucks that I have gotten so far this summer. I know of a few more shooter bucks that I know made it through season last year too. I have the shed off of the 8 point and I have day light pics of both bucks in February of this year after season as well.
Thanks. I just hope I am lucky enough to get a chance at one of them. I think the 8 pt will stay on the property come season. I know the 8 fairly well.

I'm not sure Shane. I've never owned a 1 pin adjustable rest like that one. Those guys on archery talk should know.
I'm getting pumped for the opener! So what's everyones first hunt strategies? If the weather is decent I'm going in a couple hours before shooting light. I have to walk through bean fields to get to my spot so I think getting through early will be best. Hang my stand and not get down until dark. Won't have to worry about disturbing anything going out and won't scent it up again. I figure my best shot will be that afternoon. The question is do you shoot a doe the first day? As much as I'd like to I think I'll hold off the first day anyways. Unless it's a big TD (trophy doe) then I'll probably take her down though. I love those big girls! The big 4 legged girls anyways. If nothing else I'll get to kick back and soak the new season in that first day.
Hey guys just a family update....last night our sweet dog remington took his last breath. He was 12 years 10 months and Melissa and I had him since 6 weeks old. He'll be greatly missed! Sad day in the Stillman home. He loved running up to the truck after a hunt to see what daddy brought home!
I've already got most stands hung, going to scout in KY this Saturday, hang a stand and hunt Sept. 5. I will shoot a doe the first morning if the opportunity presents itself. The landowner has had people stop and ask to hunt because they saw a huge buck run into the property! So I'm pumped! Sent from my LG-D500 using Tapatalk
I'm so sorry chad. I know exactly how that feels. I lost my dog about a year ago and it's not easy. You are in my prayers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
