Congrats Sean! That's awesome! Let's see some pics! As for other things, let's get that group convo we talked about earlier going tomorrow. I like the idea. I hunted again tonight myself, and I saw 3 bucks. I passed on a smaller one, and right at last light my 1 and 2 hitlisters showed up just out of range. The one I call swoopy is 5 1/2 and the other one I call the g2 Buck is at least 4 1/2. Both are very nice deer. Swoopy is in the mid 140's and the g2 Buck is probably somewhere in the low 130's. Anyway I had an awesome hunt, and I was damn close to filling another tag. Enough about my hunt, Sean, go find that brute! I'll be hunting every day this week, and I'll be youth hunting on our lease this weekend. Also, PM me with your phone numbers if you guys do want to do the group chat. If not that's perfectly fine as well. Let me know thanks.

    Great job Sean!
I had a small buck come out into the beans & had 3 gobblers coming in at 40. Looked across the field & saw 2 trespassers! Jumped down & took off after them. They saw me coming & took off. It was just getting into prime time too.
I'm heading back out this morning.

Hey Shane you ever put your buck on the Scorecard thread? I didn't see it & I see we're still at zero.

Well, I made my last hunting purchases this weekend before my first hunt of the season. I'm heading up to the cabin Thursday thru Sunday. For my birthday, I got a nice mid-weight camo jacket. Then I picked up a new pair of Muck Muckmaster boots, a 3-pack of NAP killzones, some cover scent, and a stick of EverCalm. I think I'm ready. Man I can't wait to get in a tree.

I could have shot a doe this morning, but it was just a little too uncomfortable for me. I was leaning a little bit, and my arm was somewhat restricted so I elected to not shoot

OK guys here is my update. I gave the deer 3 hours and went in to look. It was a now or never situation. I was at full draw and it was either let down the bow and get seen or take the shot. I took the shot. The deer was quartering to a little and I hit about 5 inches behind the shoulder and it exited middle of the body about 3 inches from the belly. We had problems finding blood so we came back in the morning. Still had problems. There are 4 fields in there that have weeds taller than me. The woods is thick and the bean field is still green. I looked for a body for about 5 hours. I couldn't find him. I keep looking at the video and I know he's dead. The arrow had stomach matter on it. I'm going tonight after work to listen for coyotes and in the morning I'm going to go at first light and listen/watch for crows. I knows he dead in there somewhere I just hate that it had to happen like that. He's between 140-145 inches and 4.5 years old if I had to guess. I feel bad bringing this news to you guys. I'm not done looking thou.

Texas but imma an okie at heart.
Man that's a stud. Those are tough shots for sure. By any chance could you upload the video so that we can see?
The deer that I shot back like that one year, he ran a good 300 to 350 yards and then hunkered down and died. I luckily found him three hours after the shot.
Going off the information that you said I bet he is in the tall grass somewhere dead.
