Age of hunter Top 3 29% were between the ages of 40 to 49 years old. 26% were between the ages of 30 to 39 years old. 14% were between the ages of 50 to 59 years old. Years of experience Top 3 33% have 25+ years of whitetail hunting experience. 14% have 20 to 24 years of whitetail hunting experience. 11% have 15 to 19 years of whitetail hunting experience. Style of hunting Top 3 80% from a tree stand. 2% from a ground blind. 1% calling.
That stats tell me experience, experience, experience. Oh yea and more experience! Thanks for sharring Schultzy. Does it give any new info on the top states and counties? Trying to go out of state for the first time this year. Leaning toward OH or KY.
Yes....I wonder what % of guys enter their animals in any record book at all. I wasn't talking specifically about P&Y....this thread isn't about net scoring. :p
I only entered my first but would have entered more out of respect for the deer if it wasn't so much hassle. I'd like to see it free if you didn't post your name. I've got perhaps 25-30 that would score but I'm not after personal glory but would like to see the deer recognized and remembered. My first is below and is my alltime favorite.
