Hey guys I am going to be setting my bow up at 68#s I think (maybe 70) and want to know what weight broad-heads you would suggest for Whitetail and further more for Turkey.
I prefer fixed blade I think just for simplicity and being a new archer I wont be taking any long shots - so far.

simplicity and fixed, montec g-5s are hard to beat. I personally am not a fan of replacement blades in fixed heads.. I like the once piece design of the montecs. Easy to resharpen as well.

Slick Tricks are a Great head for almost anything. Tough, Great flight, Super sharp blades, I'm not sure what there is to not like.

For Turkeys I'd opt for a big mechanical, but my last 3 turkeys have fell to a Grizz Trick because that was what was loaded and ready. No disappointments either :)

Also the G5s have practice heads. Some people think they are pointless but I like them. I shot only them for the 2 weeks leading into the season. It did a lot for my preparation and confidence. I was damaging arrows on each other at 30 yards out of stand in my yard, with an FX as well. Also consistent kill shots with my 3D target at different yardage and shooting positions.
It looks like our starting point to bowhunting has been very much the same path except i'm about 6 months and a season ahead if you will. So far there has been nothing I would do differently
