I am starting to get into food plotting and I have a few friends recommending whitetail Institute food plot brand. Was looking for feedback about this brand. I went on the site and was pretty impressed.

I bought the no plow stuff, worked great. Then I bought the Double Cross to plant, planted it in Aug, and it is doing well for only having 2 inches on rain all late summer fall. I have another big bag downstairs in the basement Im going to plant this spring. Looking forward to the results of it after the stuff in the ground has grown. So far I have nothing but good things to say. One tip though, if you buy the no plow stuff, do yourself a favor and burn off the grass don't just rake away the leaves n such. go the extra mile. its worth the effort.

Great! I am thinking about buying the bowstand mix and the tubule turnips mix this year. I am going to get a tiller in there and Round up the area first. Throw lime and fertilizer. I was looking at their power plant mix and it looks great, but it seems you have to have dame near perfect soil pH, fertilizer, and great drainage.

I have used their products for the last 6 years. Power plant is a great food plot but,the lab lab seeds are large and hard to cover with soil. The best product I have planted has been the Chic magnet. I have one plot in chickory that is now 5 years old. Right now I have plots in clover, chickory turnips and oats.Q
