I posted this in another section also, but in case there's a different audience in this section, I posted this here too.

When I'm not scouting or hunting, I spend a lot of time reading about bowhunting and trying to pick up tips and pointers to make me better come the next season. With spring greenup starting to occur, now is when I spend the majority of my time catching up on my whitetail books.

Below, I've listed all the archery related books that I have read. If you have read a book that isn't on the list that you feel made you a better bowhunter, I would appreciate if you reply with title and author.

This first group of books I have gained at least some new knowledge, and as everyone knows, success in archery adds up to doing alot of little things well. I would recommend the following books to anyone wanting to increase their knowledge of whitetail bowhunting:

    - "Mapping Trophy Bucks" by Brad Herndon
    - "Advanced Stand-Hunting Strategies" by Steve Bartylla
    - "Bowhunting Tactics That Deliver Trophies" by Steve Bartylla
    - "Hunting Trophy Whitetails in the Real World" by Don Higgins
    - "Bowhunting Pressured Whitetails" by John & Chris Eberhart
    - "Precision Bowhunting" by John & Chris Eberhart
    - "Bowhunting Forests & Deep Woods" by Greg Miller

These next 2 books are more general deer hunting and I found them to be more for beginning hunters in my opinion:

    - "Sure-fire Whitetail Tactics" by John Weiss
    - "Whitetail Strategies" by Peter Fiduccia

So that is the extent of my whitetail archery library. If you have read any books that aren't on this list and feel they made you a better whitetail archer, please add them to this thread.

    Thanks!

The 89 page document that Obsessed offered to send out to anyone who responded to his offer was filled with insightful information that will improve the hunting skills of anyone who read it. The shooting skills are up to you, though!

I have some books that are decent, but unable to recollect the authors at this time. The only one would be any of the books by the Benoit family.

    Fantastic books!

I'd add just about anything by Alsheimer, he knows his whitetail :tu:

PM me your e mail address and I'll gladly send it to you. It is large file. Please realize it is in unfinished form but you should be able to use it. I'll bring a few pages of it to the top in the whitetailed deer section to see if your interested.

If administration will allow it I can post it here but I suspect it would need to be approved. It is a fairly large document that won't fit. I have tried several times to attach it unsuccessfully. Duddy/Ross/Cary check your e mail it should be there.
