Has anyone on here had any positive or negative results using fruit hunting whitetail deer? We have a pear tree that produces softball size baking pears. I can't seem to give them away fast enough so I was thinking about placing them out on the land I hunt.

It wouldn't surprise me if they liked pears. Tough to keep them out of the apple trees up here once there is low hanging/fallen fruit.

Deer on our place go crazy for persimmons! If you find a good persimmon tree; sit by it and the deer will come

I wan to try to plant pumpkins this year too. I've heard good things, just want to try it out

Baiting is legal for deer in NC.....I know when we take our annual trip to the mountains in the Fall, the place we stay out has 7 or 8 apple trees that are loaded with green apples. Every morning and every night there are deer munching on them....I would love to know the variety of the tree....

We have a small grove of pear trees and the deer hit them hard for about 2 weeks in late Sept. I also throw apples around a stand I'll hunt during the same timeframe.
