Can I use a old biscuit for bowfishing? I would like it more than my ama prong rest

As long as it's strong enough to support the heavy fiberglass arrow I guess you can do it. I've heard of guys glueing the bottom bristles together so the arrow doesn't fall through them. Have you looked at the AMS Roller rest? I really like mine.

The regular hunting biscuit is a bit soft for bowfishing. WB does make them just for bowfishing that have stiffer whiskers. (but they jacked up the price and the new ones didn't fit on my primary bowfishing bow)

Anyhow, you can stiffen up the bristles by putting super glue on them, under where the arrow will rest.

I now use a Quick Draw rest on one bow and an AMS wave rest on another. The Muzzy fishhook is a good rest and very resonably priced.

edited to add.. I type too damn slow. :)

well not plain i took a small piece of leather lace and put on the very edge of the shelf then put down leather on the shelf which formed a slight U shape i really like the way it guides the arrow and sorta holds it from fallin off

Thanks for the info. I will have to check out those options. I has a biscuit laying here but think I will spend the money then.

I just tried the small WB thinking it might support the arrow better but it didn't work. It fell through the bristle. Think I'm just going to make my own rest from a piece of metal with some padding.
