About the same numbers as I experienced. It will be less than 5fps.

Whatever it is it's worth it to me to be able to nock your arrow and walk the woods and not worry about it falling off or making noise. I Really like hunting with one.

None of your hunting buddies will take you seriously if you hunt with a whisker biscuit. Of course, that's why I use one. LOL

While they're fumbling around with dropaway clearance, tying little ropes all over the place, covering their riser with moleskin, I just sit back and wonder why in the blue hell anyone would bother with all that nonsense.

    Without question.

Would I use one if I were competing in the Olympics? No, but then again, my bow would look more like the Starship Enterprise.

We're only shooting at pie plates here. If you think that fractions of an inch are really going to be the difference between tagging out or not tagging out, then I suggest you go buy a case of antacid, and dig in, because your summers are going to feature long shooting sessions and constant fretting over mechanical nonsense.

Save yourself the hassle, and use the extra time to find a big deer to hunt.

I prefer to trim the WB for the fletchings.
Do a search on Whisker Biscuit modifications.
Pretty sure you will find it if not you should be able to figure it out.
Get a scalpal and start cutting whiskers.
If you can't find let me know and I'll take some pics.

I hear ya! Thanks for the tip! using a QAD now and just every once in a while I will get a tiny bit of rest contact. Not very often, but often enough that I don't like it. I am a totally anal perfectionist regarding anything to do with my equipment!

I switched to a WB from a 2 prong ( I hated ) 2 weeks b 4 opening day with no problems. I love that I have one less thing to think about ( Worry about ) . I am more accurate now than ever and much more confident. No chance of clang clang ding dang of the arrow falling off.

    WB -

    More accurate than me.
No worries of what can fail.
Used one for at least 10 years. I shoot 4-5000 arrows a year. Never had a fletching wear/tear issue. Shot feathers and many vanes. The only vane wear was with Quick spins and they were bad for everyone, not just WB users. I usually took off good vanes to try different ones. I seem to go back to 4" Tru-Flight feathers with as much right helical as my Bitz will let me.
    Lower price than dropaways.
    Minimal speed lost (2 fps).

    Speed loss test-

Great hunting rest. I use a bigger size than arrow. I like to see plenty of light above my arrow.

Trophy Taker drop away. Arrow would get hung up or fall off and if you started having issues with accuracy they want you to check to see if the fletchings are hitting the drop away etc. To much BS for a few more fps. IMO

I absolutely find it to be accurate. People will try to make you think that it is loud and inaccurate but it is simply not true in most cases. I hunt in the South, so temperatures are a little warmer. I have heard that the brushes can freeze in extreme temperatures, but never experienced it. I have used a Bo-Doodle drop away, Octane Trip Wire, Whisker Biscuit, NAP Quick Tune, and Octane hostage (three brushes but not a complete biscuit). The Whisker Biscuit, and Hostage Pro are my favorite by far.
