Perhaps it's just me. But, I don't like the idea of having yet another string tied to my bow string to operate a mechanical piece of equipment. As someone else said, the more technical and mechanical parts you add, you're improving your chance of failure and increasing your maintenance. I shoot a WB and I can hear it faintly when the arrows slide along it during draw. But, I've never hear it on release. I've shooting carbon express arrows too so not sure what aluminum would sound like.
I've been bowhunting for over 10 years now and have owned 2 different hunting bows both of which were equipped with a WB. I have never noticed any noise from drawing the bow nor have I had any fletch wear from them. I am in the less moving parts in the field is better camp.
