Anyone get a look at Alsheimer's rut preditions for this year?

I know the rutting moon is late this year...I believe 11/21. I have the ability to take off and hunt 10/30 to 11/7, or I can hunt from 11/6 to 11/14. I'm thinking the week of 11/6 to 11/14 right now, but not 100% sure.

Not sure Matt. I get skeptical of that second week regardless of the predictions. If it were me, I'd be hitting that first week.

I don't know. Maybe it's me but everything outdoors seems to be on or just ahead of schedule this year. It may just be a feeling but I'd go with the end of Oct. and first week of Nov. Then again, I consider any time in the woods is a good time to be out.

    Best of luck this season.

    10/30 - 11/7 is the week I would pick.

IMO i usually like the last week in Oct but this year i think the full moon is that week. That usually means that they will be moving more during the night. So i would bet that the week after that would be really good to catch a buck during shooting hours. But, who know when that trophy will walk buy so hunt as much as possible. Good luck!

I love being in the woods immediately before and during Halloween. My past journals help back this up.

I'm liking that first week of nov. The crops will be out way ahead of schedule which should help move things along faster. Halloween is when all the monsters come out!

I would rather be in there earlier than later. I feel your best chances at a slammer are late Oct early Nov.. Unless you feel you do not have any slammers around your land, then I would wait it out until the second week hoping for cruisers.

October full moon is on 23rd, give it 3 days to pass and the big bucks will be on their feet in daytime hours.

End of Oct and first few days of November you should see a lot more crusing mature bucks. Later, and they tend to get locked down with receptive does. Plenty of deer are killed mid November, but my experience is, you will see more mature deer cruising during shooting hours the last few days of Oct. and first few days of Nov. Good luck!

If there is a fair amount of pressure in the area I like your first week choice as well.

That's what I'm liking too. Another vote for end of October/ first week of November. Actually I predict November 4th for you!

First 10 days of Nov will find me in the woods. Nov 4th has been very good to me over the years.

WEEK? I dont think a week cuts it for me. I save my vacation for deer season every year and I have Nov. 4th to Dec. 6th off. I take a month! LOL As my loving wife has said "If I ever gave you the choice of either me or deer hunting I would be packing my bags!?" I told her to just keep thinking that way that way she does not ask me! LOL  My family knows that I dont ask for nothing else from them but my time in the woods come season. That is my peace time and I dont coach nothing during the fall with my kids! I am a big family man but I do like my peace time and putting meat on the table for them in the fall. I dont need nothing else more than that from my family!
