Got all my stuff, now I need to decide how/what to do w/ the limb pockets....I'm putting a set of Katera cams on my newly dipped Trykon XL, and the BRONZE (UGLY) limb pockets have got to be made black for it to look worth a damn. So which way to go, I can just paint them w/ some engine paint, durable, cheap, or I can go the distance and pay about $20 and have them powder coated??? The riser and limbs look super sharp, nice job that the guys in Texas did after Audie (PBR) dropped the ball. So which would you do, considering you were actually going to "franken-bow" a bow. :noidea: Basically when it's all done, it'll be spec-wise a KATERA XL, on a Trykon Riser, except it's all dipped in a custom Fall Leaves Orange Camo.... No markings on it anywhere, only camo and black..... Or for $30, I can get the Zephyr cams done, and have a multi-purpose dual bow w/ just a swap of the strings.....
??? You go to all this trouble and you're even thinking of scrimping on the $20 to do it right? Clean out the couch cushions and truck seat and scrape together the coin to have it done right. Gees Doug! :p
Hey, I'm almost half Jewish??? :D I mean my dad is as "jewish" as they come, and was a carpenter by trade, I'm almost like Jesus' son....well that may be pushing it and bordering on sacreligious, but I've already made the decision now, I'm gonna take both the limb pockets and my set of Zephyr cams and have everything done for $20, and I'll put some of his business cards in my shop, so it's a win/win for all included, myself, the powder-coater, and the shop as they now know we have a local guy who does this type of stuff.
Dropping them off tomorrow....I didn't even know we had anyone close by that did this kind of work, thank to the "www." I do now.
