So I wanna get some doe in heat scent for this weekend to put out on a wick or two. I've only had one buck ever come in to scent if I remember correctly it was the "hot scrape" doe estrus scent.

I was just curious what you all have used and what you consider to be the best estrous scent to put out?

The best scent is a live doe, no buck is going to leave a doe to check out bottle pee. Yes on occasion a buck will come thru and check it out but it is not a magic potion that will draw a buck from miles away. I have used special golden estrus in the past, but it has been a while.

I'm getting to the point where I won't be spending $10+ on a bottle of scent... Have pretty much had 0 luck with anything I've tried so far.

I think some of the name brands sound like porn names.

Absolutely correct. Should have started a couple months ago with a pre-orbital scent such as Smokeys. I don't use pee anymore unless it's synthetic such as Buck Fever of 50/50 from Deer Quest. These are the only "pees" I have had repeated responses from.
If you start a mock scrape in a good location with a quality pre-orbital, the deer will do the rest.

Thanks guys, I'll skip the deer pee this year I think then. I've read good things about the buck fever stuff so next year i'll find a few secluded areas and start mock scrapes in late summer

I bought this stuff called 180 days estrus. Not sure what that means but it was on sale and I thought what the heck. I usually don't buy or use scent and I probably won't use this.

I had an 8 pt scent check my mock scrape when I was on stand a couple of days ago. I've been using tinks power scrape and that 180 day stuff mentioned above. He did not work the scrape but did give it a sniff. I put my trail camera on it so I'm interested to see what has been showing up this week. I think mock scrapes are the way to go.
