Which Rest Do You Prefer?

Being a newb with a Mathews Monster-6 I had a lot of issues with the trophy taker and put a whisker biscuit on instead and couldn't be happier.
Everything time I hunt or practice with it I like it more.
That being said, I WAS looking to buy the QAD before.

 

I just put a Revolution on one of my bows last month and I'm very impressed with this rest. It works very, very well. It has much better containment then most and I was able to get bullet holes right off the bat with it, it's pretty quiet too. There is a little click at about 3/4 draw but it's not loud enough to worry about.

QAD makes a good rest but buy their top model, the QAD HDX.

 

I dont have that much money to spend on a rest.

 

Man chosing a rest is hard, I wish I had three bows so I could get all three rest . I think what Ill do though is since everyone seems to say that the QAD HD is the best choice out of the QAD's, I will get the Apache. I know from what Ive read that this is a great rest and quiet. I would really love the option of the rest staying up when I let down but the cage around the Apache I think will do the job of holding the arrow when Im stalking. Then after some time has gone by and the Revolution has been out longer I think I will get it. But that wont be for a while.

Sound like a good idea?

 

If thats the case buy a NAP Apache. I just had one put on yesterday and I love the thing. HUGE bang for the buck. I have around 300 shots through it since yesterday. I know thats not a lot but, so far so good. Super easy to tune, tooless and silent. Not to mention it looks great!! I knew it would be a good rest due to so many guys on this sight using it but, I really didn't expect the rest that it truly is. You should at least look into it.

 

The TR Revolution is junk in my opinion. Too much can go wrong, and it has to be perfectly tuned all the time so that it clears for your arrow. The QAD is by far a superior rest.

 

If I get the Apache, should I get the micro version or is there not really any difference between the 2 versions.

 

Why do you say a WB stinks? I have one and I haven't tried anything else. Just wanna know ur opinion.

 

I was going to get the Apache then a super great deal came along on a QAD HDX so Ive decided to go with the HDX.
