I'm buying a new release today. I've been shooting a Carter Loop Master since my Cobra Mamba blowed up on me last season. I just can't get comfortable with the Carter. I won't use the Cobra again although Cobra replaced it under warranty. It came apart while I was drawing on a deer. I have a e-bay bid on a Scott Little Bitty Goose, and I'm watching a Scott Rhino. What do you think about the 2 of them and which do you like better?
I like the release I use on the longbow. A Superglove. No issues!

Anyone want a Carter or Cobra cheap?

I appreciate the offer. I went ahead and bid on e-bay. The auction ends in 2 hours so I'll like the one I buy or or pass it on. One way or another I'll own a new release before the sun sets.

TX, you'll love it. Great adjustablity both length and trigger, super small in hand. I started shooting one right after last season, and love it. Had a Wynn Free Flight for years and there is no comparision in my opinion. Don't know why I stuck with the Wynn for so long??

Greg, the only two releases that I can say I would recommend are the TRU Ball Short n sweet, and the Scott Little Goose. Both quality with a small trigger. The Short n sweet allows you to shoot the correct draw legth because the trigger is even with the hook... it's beautiful.

I like the hook style of the Rhino or Silverhorn over the caliper style. It's easier and quieter to get on the loop.

Good call Rob, definitely a fan of the hooks... personally I can't do calipers anymore.

I think release types really boils down to personal preference and what you're used to/feels good for you. The only real requirement I have is that the strap be long enough to fit over heavy gloves if I have to, and NO VELCRO. Other than that, they all pretty much do the same thing, no?

Personally I use the Scott Sabertooth and I love it. Now that I'm used to the forward trigger I could never go back. I look at "other" releases and wonder just exactly how I ever shot with one of those.
