I'm always reading how much many of you guys love your Predator camo so I decided to check it out for myself. I really like the open camo concept, but when I went to their website, there seems to be seven different patterns. Which ones are you guys using? I know it might change as the season progresses but is there one that seems to be effective throughout most of the year? Blessings......Pastorjim
From what I've read / seen it appears to be fall gray but who knows. I to am looking into to buying some for the early season.
Depends on what part of the country your hunting and the terrain. Go to the website and read up on all the patterns, that should give you a good idea. Alot of guys around here in the midwest use fall gray and brown deception.
FALL GRAY! It's the most open of their patterns, and that's why Predator works better! It's the only pattern I use - for treestand hunting it's the bomb!
I wear alot of Brown Deception, but I dont think you can go wrong with any of there camo! Green Deception!
I personally use Fall Brown most of the season. However, they stopped making it. :-(. ANY of them will work, but I personally like either Brown Deception or Fall Grey. The neat thing about Fall Grey I noticed was it actually appears to change color or hue depending on your surroundings. It must be something with the light gray absorbing light around it. Regardless, in my opinion, there is no other pattern that comes close to Predator Camo. It flat out works! And here's the thing. Us guys that wear Predator do so for a reason. Not because we're paid to wear it or because some big named celeb is endorsing it. We're wearing it and endorsing it because we're seeing the results first hand. We took the plunge and switched to it because the science behind it makes perfect sense. And I highly doubt anyone who has tried Predator has been dissapointed. ;-)
Thanks guys for all the responses. I think I will be going with the fall grey since they don't make the brown anymore. Blessings......Pastorjim
I use brown Deception for mostly everything, but every pattern they have should be great. You won't regret trying it.
I'm hoping to switch to Fall Grey for ground and/or stand next year (2012), but for this year, I'll have to stick with my Multicam since my hunting product budget is basically spent with the new bow and setup. The Multicam works great on the ground, but not as well as Predator in the trees. If I don't go with Predator, I'll be going with ASAT. My son's archery instructor bought some on a whim, and he loves it now.
