I would go with a fixed blade since you are just starting out. Ive killed deer with both. The rage has orings that always pop off. I thought it was quite a pain. I know shoot the bloodrunners which have a little bit of both worlds. Muzzys are great tho. I shot those for several years and they never did fail me.

Just from your choices I would go with the Muzzy. I am currently using NAP Hellrazors.

New or old to this a fixed blade doesn't having moving parts and they are rigid. The first time you miss a deer because a o ring fails. You will wonder why you weren't shooting a properly tuned bow with a fixed blade.

Of the 3 you mentioned I'd choose the Grim Reapers, but IMHO a much better choice for mechanicals is the NAP Spitfire Maxx.

If you want a fixed blade you can't do any better than Slick Tricks :)

Don't worry about what your buddies shoot ;)

Spitfire Maxx for me too. Blew through 3 deer this year with great results.

Shoot them all though and pick the one YOU like best, not what your buddies like or think are the best.

I made that mistake 2 years ago and this past pre-season I tested many on my own and settled with the Spitfire Maxx. Couldn't be happier!
