    Which of these have you experienced?

    A. Set up before sunlight and killed a deer within the first 30 minutes of light?

    B. Set up before sunlight and killed a deer between 11-1pm?

    C. Hunted all day and killed a deer the last 30 minutes of light?

    D. Killed a deer on opening day?

    E. Killed a deer on closing day?

    All of the above for me, except B.

    True...I arrowed a doe the last 30 minutes of the season after 6 weeks of gun season one year....now that was luck. Gun pressure can really put some pressure on your area. One has to adapt.

    Mobow..can you describe where you set up to kill that "mid-day deer". Thanks.

    A, B, & D. Blew a chipshot on a doe the very last day of the season one year.

    If you count gun or m/l season, I've done C & E also.

    You forgot... killed one within 10 minutes of getting set up! Did that one time...and could have several other times also.

    Which of these have you experienced?

    A. Set up before sunlight and killed a deer within the first 30 minutes of light?

    Yes, on several occasions, my latest being last years buck in IL.

    B. Set up before sunlight and killed a deer between 11-1pm?

    Yes, the one spot I hunt I expect deer to show up around 10:00 or after and I've taken deer in that spot towards the noon hour. It's far from food sources but close to the thickest cover in the area.

    C. Hunted all day and killed a deer the last 30 minutes of light?

    Although I've sat dark to dark on more occasions than I cared to, I can't recall taking deer on those particular days right before last light.

    D. Killed a deer on opening day?

    Yes.

    E. Killed a deer on closing day?

    Yes

    Yes, on a fairly regular basis.

    B. Set up before sunlight and killed a deer between 11-1pm?

    Never. I don't know that I have ever been on stand at 11:00. Always find an excuse to get down by then.

    C. Hunted all day and killed a deer the last 30 minutes of light?

    Yes, on a fairly regular basis.


    D. Killed a deer on opening day?

    Yes. Only once. I am fairly picky on day 1 as I am trying to take advantage of the deer being on less than full alert and pass everything but a mature buck.

    E. Killed a deer on closing day?

    Yes, on a fairly regular basis as doe are plentiful in my area(s).

    Yep several times, Should have this year on opening day but I was too picky.

    B. Set up before sunlight and killed a deer between 11-1pm?

    Never sat all day.

    C. Hunted all day and killed a deer the last 30 minutes of light?

    see above

    D. Killed a deer on opening day?

    Last year

    E. Killed a deer on closing day?

    Not that I recall.

    All except for B... I've gotten in about 9am and killed a deer at like 2pm but that was as close to that scenario as I've been.
