I know what they overturned, my facts are in place. The fact is the federal gov't does not want a state to enforce the immigration laws, yet the feds will not enforce the immigration laws themselves. If the feds would do their job there would not be a need for SB 1070.

Ahhhh....now I see. We can blame the lack of enforcement of immigration laws on Western Union fees.

If the FEDS cannot control illegal immigration, then by gosh the localities not only the right to enforce those laws, BUT have a DUTY to enforce. That is where we are twisted in the US right now......we are so worried about the processes that govern us that we forget the substance of what governs us, namely the duty of good men and women to act to help preserve our good country. We have lost that concept. We rely on our federal government way too much and have given it way too much power.

I blame greed as well. The rich want the cheap labor, the liberals want the votes. The majority of citizens want our laws enforced.

If i remember correctly the National Guard was sent with no weapons or authority, just basically observers, and i also believe that some of the guardsman were in life threatening situations and not able to defend themselves.

This is so simple. There is a process to enter the United States of America. There is also a process to apply for citizenship. Follow the process set forth by the county in which you would like to become a citizen. If you are not willing to follow that fundamental Law of becoming a citizen, why would you feel the need to follow any of the laws in this country? Pay Taxes? Carry Insurance?

The stress illegal immigrants place on our whole system is almost immeasurable. Money leaving our economy, never to return. Uninsured people using our healthcare system and never paying for services received. Non-English speaking children being thrust into a school system that is not adequately equipped to handle it. Drug trafficking. High crime rate. The list goes on and on.

I'm not going to apologize for standing for what I believe in, and I believe our country needs to purge itself of anyone who will not follow the proper processes for entering our country.

In Europe they completely agree with you.

There is nothing wrong with a little peeepee on a bed of flowers. The flowers love it. It nitrates their soil for them.

The public urination laws of the USA are more of a continuation of early puritanism.

Same is true of public drunkeness. You walk to the bar, you drink, you drank, you drunk, you walk home, now you are publicly drunk. That's still better than DUI.

Oh' the value of a picture... Well played. Of course you know; Bruce is correct that we need to make sure our facts are current when we are speaking of current events.

And the law I am for ignoring because it is isn't being enforced is... drum roll please... using a cell phone while driving. There are plenty of un-enforced laws already to cite motorists for driving wrecklessly such as swerving, not using turn signals, following too closely etc... Enforce the ones we have, they are plenty sufficient without making new ones that will go equally ignored!

If Christine wants to exercise her feminine mystique again because Ducky comes on and insults me, oh well.

I cannot control Christine. Nor would I. I believe in individual freedom, as well as an eye for an eye.

No state bans all cell phone use for all drivers. There are only 10 states that ban handheld use and AL is not one of them so you're safe. But effective Aug 1 2012 AL will ban texting for all drivers. So I dont know why you are talking about ignoring a law that you dont even have.

deportation doesn't work anyway, they just come back. start punishing the people that hire the illegals, take away their jobs, and they will stop coming.
