Ok guys I'm thinking about getting a Double Bull blind for turkey hunting. I was at Cabelas today looking at them and they are superior in quality to other blinds. I just want to to know which blind you think would be the best. Does anyone have any experience with the T2? It looks like a great blind for the money( I could get one for $2000). I'm willing to spend the money for the dark horse if someone could tell me the advantages of having one over the matrix or T2 besides the obvious interior room.

I will be honest with you, I own a Double Bull Matrix 360, and after seeing these new Rhino Outdoors Blinds at the NWTF convention...If I was buying new, I would buy the Rhino instead...quality and construction are near identical, windows are 360 with magnets rather than sliding buckles...it comes in predator green deception, and the size is comparable with a matrix/darkhorse...but in retails at almost 200 less. I was more than impressed, and I think I may be testing some out this spring depending on if my buddy gets one in or not. IMO, the rhino looked like a matrix 360 with magnetic windows rather than the sliding buckles in the corner....I was very impressed most with the bag though. My only gripe with the DB was that a 400 dollar blind came with THE most uncomfortable carrying bag ever. The Rhinos have built in padded shoulder straps on the bag, and it too is in predator green deception. They were selling like Hotcakes yesterday, that is for sure.

I have ZERO complaints with my DB blind, and I honestly think they are the best...BUT, my view may be slighted in that I got mine for nearly 50% off. As much as I like it, I wouldn't have paid $400-450 for it like they retail for now...no blind is worth that IMO.

If your dead set on a Double Bull, my favorite is the discontinued Matrix 360...The Darkhorse mixes the Matrix with the T5 window system, which wasn't necessary IMO....I also prefer the predator camo over the ground swat. You can get a Matrix used for in the 200s, or a left over new one somewhere for in the 300s. If you want one of the new current model DBs, the DarkHorse would be better than the T2 imo, due to the size. With the Matrix/Darkhorse size, a bowhunter and cameraman can both have as much gear as they want and STILL be comfortable...they are roomy.

I could get T2 for about 200. I mostly hunt alone so I don't need the extra room. Do you guys thinks It would be worth it to get for that price? I'm more worried about being able to shoot through thos esmall ports.

Have you guys ever had issues with clearance?

Mine is the mix..has green in it, but mostly looks like brown deception....I think they call it Predator All Purpose. I agree, nothing comes close in quality...I HATE those vinyl type material blinds, that look more like a windbreaker from the 90s material than ground blind material. Double Bull is top shelf. Mine is 1-2 seasons old, with alot of use for both fall and spring. BUT, I dont leave it out for extended periods, longest was about 2 weeks I think. Still looks good as new, besides one rod popping loose(before I even bought it, showed up that way as it was a demo model from a store)...just need to glue it back into place. The only negative reviews I have heard about DBs is when they are left for months on end, the cloth can become brittle after a season or two and rip more readily...a quick fix for that is to not leave the blind out for 3 months on end.:busted: lol

Me and my good friend bought one at the same time...he now has 2-3. He has since bought a green deception one like yours. They should last for a loooooong time to come, the material is just really awesome, and thick.

That said, when I saw these Rhinos, first thing that I thought was that they brought back the Matrix 360...i then went over to the booth, and saw the different windows. The cloth seems identical to the Matrix, camo is same, bag is MUCH better with padded shoulder straps already in place, and they were selling for 250 there, I think 300 on their website...thats 150 cheaper than a darkhorse, and I would MUCH rather have this blind than a darkhorse. I am REALLY hopin I get to try one out this spring to see how it does....I think the windows may be a plus actually.

hunting alone the T2 will certainly work, but I just know I REALLY enjoy how big the Matrix is even when I hunt alone...ESPECIALLY bowhunting. The small windows was the main reason I passed on a killer deal on a T5 the week before getting my Matrix...I too was leary of those smaller windows for bowhunting. Could work easily, but it is your money and your call. I have never had one in the field to bowhunt from to give you a first hand account...Just been in a T5 that has near identical windows. Works, but the newer more versatile windows are really something to want in a blind, for me anyway.

Oh my bad, missed it Ben...Um, not sure...I just found out about them yesterday at the NWTF banquet. No secrets here, I have 90 seconds experience with them..but I was impressed. I hope my friend gets one so I can try it out in the field this spring, if I do I will post up about it.

Just googled it and found em...

I have a darkhorse and I really like it. The matrix type front window is awesome as you end up with no blind spots in front of you, and with the T5 windows in the back it creates a very dark environment inside the blind. I believe this was the reason DB created this blind. I would rather have the predator camo, but the ground swat isn't that bad. Went to Kansas turkey hunting 2 years ago, when I had my T5, and it was really windy. There were 6 of us, and every guy in the group had their blind blow down, collapse, or break, except for mine. They also couldn't believe how quiet it was compared to theirs. IMO I think they are well worth the money.

Sounds interesting. It's a contender, but I am really liking the size and affordability of the Primos Ground Max series. Until you mentioned the Rhinos, It was between the PGM Vision or the Den Blind.

I like the ideas behind the Primos Ground Max blind, but I wasn't a fan of the materials from the one I saw 1-2 years ago, seemed (in the store admittedly) too much like the 2 blinds I have had in the past that were noisy, shiny, and ripped like printer paper....they may have changed by leaps and bounds for all I know. It seems those Primos Blinds are getting great reviews from people who actually own them though, so it appears my impression proved wrong of them.

These seem to be something to look into if you can find a dealer nearby, their dealer list looks TINY though, so good luck with that. LOL I had never even heard of them until the salesmen threw me the pitch, then my buddy filled me in on them somewhat as we continued on. Sounds interesting. These windows seem IDENTICAL in shape/size to that Primos blind offered in predator..not sure of the model.
