Do you prefer a single pin sight or a sight with multiple pins(3,5,7,etc) and why? And what specific sight do you use?

I prefer a single pin sight. I will only shoot out to 30yrds, so single pin is perfect. I have an HHA on my bow.

I had a single pin last year and I liked it but this year Im going with an HHA 3 pin adjustable sight. That way I can have a 3 fixed for hunting then be able to dial it for longer shot when I want to.

I have a 5 pin. I love it because once I've sighted in, I know that that is my distance. And that's one less thing for me to worry about on the hunt.

I have a one pin. HHA. I love it. I don't take many shots past 30 where I hunt. I set my pin at 25. If they come in at 30 then I am a little high. If they come in at 20 I aim a little low. I had a 5 pin G5 before this sight and I liking the HHA much better.

I have a trophy ridge react one single pin. Bought a five pin sight with my element and decided to change to a single and won't be going back.

I like the single because it's simple. I believe in using a rangefinder and using the single pin sort of forces me to be more careful with thinking about yardages. Before I caught myself guessing a lot on yardages and shot placement wasn't as good as it could have been and neither was confidence. Now I know what yardages I'm shooting and that I can adjust my pin for that specific yardage on spot at any given moment.

I have a 5 pin sight. I mule deer hunt and practice out to 70 yds so having fixed pins is absolutely a must. Never cared for single pin sights.

I have shot single pin for more than 25yrs. I like it because it's just like shooting a rifle, just put the bead on the target and fire. I tried to go back to a multi-pin sight a few years ago and it seemed very unnatural to me. I shoot an HHA DSXL 5519 sight with a 2x magnifying lens.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

Single pin. No pin clutter. Once you know your yardage, or like 99% of my hunting the yardage doesn't matter, just concentrate on ONE pin and put it where you want to hit. I leave my sight set at 20 yards and I rarely have to move it.

my eyesight is pretty crappy, I've found most of the single pins are a little to small for me. I shoot a 5 pin truglo.

I bought a single pin. The second time I forgot to adjust it for yardage and wrecked an arrow, I took it off. Now it is in "the drawer".

I use a 3 pins, all green ones. Set at 20, 35 and 50. My max is 40 yards at a deer and with only really 2 pins to chose from it's easy. No cluttered view, no searching for the right pin or adjusting the sight.

My favorite sight is a Toxonics but since a new owner a few years ago they are the worst company to deal with. I tried for over a year to BUY A SIGHT from them and they never returned one of over a dozen emails and phone calls. At least they have their 2010 catalog still online. Sad.
