I am going to buy a deer target which one is best? I was thinking either the Glendale or the rinehart
Either of thosetwo would be my choice. I have shot both and not sure which I like better. Sent from my BNTV600 using Tapatalk 2
I think I would go with the rineheart seem to last longer and insert holds up better if you get the one with the insert.
Honestly don't waste your money. Buy a normal bag or block target. I have a glendell buck and its just aggravating. For me shooting at a fake deer or a bag makes no difference. If anything I prefer the block with small circle targets so I can really practice and see the results. With the glendell your just aiming for the boiler room. My issue with them is pulling arrows out. With my 70lb bow my arrows go almost through and pulling them out is a pain. With a block I kick it over and put s foot on it and pull arrows out. With the glendell I'm pulling like crazy while the pegs are coming out of ground and the deer is falling over. Then a leg falls off them the head falls off. I ended up parking mine next to the house where it hasn't moved in years. I much prefer the black box or block or whatever it's called.
I think I've narrowed it down to glendale or Rinehart. Those that have shot both, does one outlast the other and does one have easier arrow removal?
I have a Rhinehart 3D woodland buck and two Rhinehart field targets for small game practice. They all are great targets and are made to last, very easy arrow removal too.
Rinehart....I have the delta Archers choice buck now and it's been a great one. The glendales I have had sucked...lol. Maybe it just mine. I hated the way they went together.
i have a cheepo rural king shooter buck and it sucks. but i didnt want to spend the money on a glendale but now wish i had. i have not looked at the rinehart but i just figured the full rut glendale had more shooting surface and you could change the block in it. as for just shooting at the boiler room it is a lot more than that. i have learned quite a bit and think i am a better hunter and now have a lot better idea of shot placement and once you get good move and try quartering shots or get up in a stand and shoot
I have the Rhinehart and Glen Del Buck and they both are good. The Rinhehart is the best 3D target on the market IMO.
I'm a fan of Rhinehart targets. The club I belong to is replacing all of their targets with Rhinehart targets for the 3d course. They have a bunch of different brands including Glendale and I think the rhineharts are the best all around IMO and apparently so do they.
Thanks for the input guys going to bass pro this weekend and picking one of these out. I was leaning toward Rinehart but the 4 sided insert by glendal has me curious is I will get more bang for my buck
Rinehart is worth the little bit extra money. Not only do the arrows pull easy, it does a good job of stopping them in th first place. Inserts are readily available, and thry don't break down in the sun nearly as badly as many of the others on the market. Harsh sun may not be quite as big of a consideration in some areas, but down here it is a deciding factor. Cheap targets just fall apart down here after a few months. I have a 18-1, and a turkey from Rinehart, I plan to add a deer and a pig in the coming months. All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure - Mark Twain
