You two are giving me a good chuckle. But on a serious point. That’s a freaking beast of a fish !

I’m not sure, or can remember ever catching a Pike. Walleye for sure never caught, pike I recall encountering them but don’t recall if I caught 1 ? If I did, I was still fishing for bass and it was bycatch.

Every thing guys are running around here are hot nosed cuses. Ain't worth a **** to trail anything to a jump. But they can run the hell out of it when it's up and running. I always kept hounds that had more cold nose, I love it when they turn a track into a race.

Well guess what ? This talk about Solids, had me put a 100 grainer, from the original design whatever the bleeder size were, there was but 1 choice back then.

Stropped it, but it was still sharp, put on a arrow I bought from a Chinese distributor that are .001 straightness and weight +\-. Slammed a pig last nite. Pass thru, got the arrow back untouched. Blood smelled rank boar hog.

Watched it make its way into high grass, where a tree in front of me blocked its last movement. Thinking it piled up there because I saw no other movement, got down. It had been raining pretty good. Walked out and couldn’t find any blood at all. Zero. Looked pretty good. Only me, had no young eyes . Granted I don’t see as I once did, but not 1 spec. I have a very bright light and doubled up with my ATV. Zero. Needless to say I’m again not pleased. I remember this happening to me before.

@mikey custom-g sorry but post wasn't the easiest to follow, so upfront apologies if I misunderstood.

However, so are you saying you shot a hog with a solid broadhead (what was the rest of your arrow set up?), it was raining good...and you were mad you couldn't find blood? You also stated the arrow smelled rank, which to me would lead me to believe gut or intestines of some variety were impacted...which can and will cause the blood trail to possibly suffer and those holes get plugged more often than any other in my experience (with tons of head varieties included mechanicals).

I just don't see the issue with the head here? Am I missing more of the story or misunderstanding?
