I'm trying afflictor broadheads, (they look awesome) and also toxic broadheads Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rage hypodermic, 100 grain. Swore against mechanical for years and shot lots of fixed blades with success. My dad switched to the hypodermics after finding a great deal online and giving them a shot. He convinced me after following his first blood trail with them, to at least give them a try. This is my second year with them, I've killed 4 deer with them and it's going to be very hard to convince me that there is a better head available.
I'm shooting the nap kill zone coc, just make sure the blades are pushed in far enough before shooting, I'm new to the mechanical world, missed a doe sat. At least I didn't wound her, the arrow flew really bad oh well live and learn lol
I recommend you tune your bow (especially if your mech heads aren't flying true, something is obv wrong) and shoot your broadheads before going out hunting, you owe it to the animal. You got lucky you missed clean rather than wounding the animal. Do your part.
Magnus Snuffers SS 125 gr. I index the broadhead to the vanes (started doing this on my crossbow bolts many years ago) and twice now I have had "pass throughs " where the deer will just flinch then turn around and smell the arrow before falling down. First time I thought I had missed... and was getting ready for second shot when he just fell down. Easy to sharpen and have a warranty for life. (Lose them and you are just out of luck) Use the same broadhead on my recurve, compound and crossbow.
