Im starting to get in archery and am looking for a decent compound bow for recreation shooting and whitetail hunting. I am looking at two used bows, one being a 2010 Diamond razor edge and the other being a 2007 Mission x3. Both are around the same price but I was just wondering what the better option would be.

    Thanks

Personally, I'd go with the Diamond, better bow if you ask me.

I don't know what prices you are going to pay for those used bows, but if you go to the cabelas website you can buy a brand new diamond edge ready to shoot package for 329. I see you are in turner, i am right down the road, go to central maine archery in auburn, Tom will take care of you and get you in a good bow and help you get started.

The diamond is $200 on uncle henrys. Ill probably buy that one and bring it down to central maine archery to have it set up for me.

The diamond I a very versatile bow. If you buy the one with the lighter limbs they will send you the 30 to 60lb limbs to up grade. Then when you are ready to sell the bow you have both and will be able to find more people to sell it too.
That is the same bow I started my wife out with so we could pass it down to our daughters later.

Im buying the bow with the 30-60 limbs already on it, from what I hear its a good shooting and reliable bow.

Can't go wrong with either bow for your intended purpose. Best of luck with either one.

Does anyone know if the 07 mission needs a bow press to adjust the draw length? Or is it easy to adjust like the diamond?

    Thanks

I would shoot them both then buy which ever one feels the best. I personally would not buy a bow without shooting it 1st :tu:

I would recommend the diamond, got my wife one and it is a fairly smooth shooting bow and still has the speed that could handle pretty much anything. But like others have said shoot them both first who knows may find another that you like better.

Ended up trying out a few more bows, made my decision and bought a PSE stinger. Cant wait to start shooting more, I'm starting to realize how addicting archery is... LOL

Now that in my opinion was a good call. I would have went with the PSE Stinger over both the others.

Diamond razor edge is what I would recomend mate. It is alot more adjustable & I would imagen a great bow to start out with. Bowtech/Diamond really are very good all round bows :)

Well I shot both the Diamond and the PSE and the PSE just felt better to me and I was more accurate with it.
