No. Based on that theory, GM should be the best car company in the world.....not even close. It's advetising. Just look at how many people think global warming is caused by man.
I shoot a Mathews because it is smooth, quiet and feels best in my hands. I personally think the Z7 series of Mathews bows were the best compound bows ever made by any manufacturer. That is why I own one and always will. I don't like any double cam bows for various reasons. I have owned different bows by different manufacturers, but Mathews to me has the best and most complete line of bows for men and women.
It's seems to me that since Levi Morgan went to elite everyone likes elite now..? Is it just because he shoots it? And same with Mathews, did everyone like Mathews because he shot them?
Hoyt! Mathews! PSE! Bear! Elite! Strothers! Athens! K&K! Bowtech! Diamond! Martin! Parker! Ross! Obsession! APA! Quest! Prime! High Country! Alpine!
lol....If you like a bow company cause of some comp shooter that is kinda sad IMO. Not saying you do...but if anyone does. Elite is a great company with great bows. Smoothest bows I've ever touched along with Obsession. They all make great bows, its what fits each person.
Honestly i think alot of the bigger brands like hoyt, mathews, bowtech etc. are leading the way in best pefoance bow. But alot of the smaller bow lines that you can find in more places other then just archery shpps like bear, pse and diamond are leading the way in bows sold. Because more people can afford them. So it just depends on what you ean leads the way. In bows sold or better peforming bows. With that bein said i say hoyt because they have awsome bows amd there starting to make them affordable now.
By far Mathews number 1 there slogan wouldnt be catch us if you can for no reason. Ive shot hoyt , elite , bowtech , and bear bows and i love mathews. Im thinking of buying a obsession evolution for a speed bow and it looks really cool but still not better than my Creed XS. This is a crazy thread lol but i shoot a mathews cause i wanna kill em not hoyt em ha ha ha.
In all seriousness...IMHO #1 For consistently putting out good products- Hoyt #1 For building smooth drawing, hunting bows- Elite #1 For recent innovations- Bear #1 For pushing the speed game- PSE #1 For coming up with great ideas only to ditch them a year later- Bowtech
I think for hunting bows you can't beat Hoyt. I don't shoot Hoyt only because I couldn't get my hands on a long draw model without paying up front first. I do have a PSE Vendetta which is a great hunting bow. While I will probably never own a PSE again because their customer service is terrible I think they make a great range of bows. Yes their flagship stuff is all about speed but when you step down into the next tier you get good speed, super silky draws and great consistency. And when you get to their Main line bows its tough to beat the performance for the price. Although the last year or two. Mission and Hoyt especially Mission have made great strides in that budget (<$600) department and could very well be ahead at this point. I haven't shot much in the way of budget bows in this years models.
The answer to this question is much like a holy war. There is really no right to wrong answer and really it a matter of interpretation of what is meant by leading the way. As you can see from a lot of the answers here the answer you get depends on who you ask. Mathews makes a solid bow but so does Hoyt, Elite and various other companies. They each have their fan boys/girls and a fair share of hate clubs. Over the past few years I have turned into a bow addict buying bows from Bowtech, Mathews, Elite and others. They all will throw an arrow down range and with proper tuning do so accurately. Proper tuning is simple on some but not so much on others. In the end it all boils down to what you like. I currently have a Elite bow and have shot them long before Levi Morgan switched. My preference being the grip and the solid back wall. But currently I am contemplating a Mathews Heli-m. Why? Solocam. Don't have to worry about timing the cams. Its not overly complicated but is it one more thing to consider when tuning. Essentially I guess I am still looking for that one bow that just feels right. So essentially your question is a tough one to answer without being opinionated but there are lots of good ideas here.
