So I had my bow since 2012 and I hunt when I can, yesterday I actually got on my hands and knees creeping forward towards a tom for about almost 150 yards with my bow in one hand and the decoy in front of me. Basically that was the first real time test of abuse that I have done with that bow since 2012, when I got to a point that a tom saw my decoy and me moving the decoy, he just took off towards me running fast. I mean dead sprint fast. When he got about 10 yards I knocked an arrow, at about 5 yards I got on my knees, pull back, and bang!!! The string came off the wheels. Right when I was going to take the shot. I am more of a passive hunter meaning I wait, there are some of you that are more aggressive when it comes to hunting meaning you stalk deer, elk, turkey, etc. you take the fight to the game. Have you ever put putting your bow to take some abuse? What bow do you use that would take the abuse? The most abuse mine took prior to that is getting out of the woods at night, getting tangle in stuff not by choice. What tactics make you more passive or aggressive hunter? Explain how you hunt. I got a Mission Riot bow by Mathews.

The toughest bow in the world will not work well with a twig, dirt, or debris wedged between the string and the cams.

I have a buddy that had the same problem with mission... he's what you're calling a passive hunter lol not too much spotting and stalking in arkansas. When he took it to the dealer his cam was slightly bent. Wouldn't throw the string off with every shot but every now and then. I dropped my bowtech from my tree stand at ab 20-25ft. Didn't hurt anything. Not trying to start a debate or anything but I was very impressed. I try to take care of my stuff but like Forrest Gump says "it happens." I'll also add that I haven't heard anything bad about Mathews just the line of mission bows.

I always hunt from a position where I am waiting for the animals. I'm more passive I suppose. With that said, I agree with Sota. :tu:
