I'm looking for a new hunting arrow, I'm partial to Carbon Express. I'm trying to decide between the Maxima Reds, Blue Streak and Selects. What do you prefer and why? Aaaand Go!
1. 350 Maxima Reds 2. 350 Maxima Blue Streaks 3. 250 Maxima Reds I shot the blue streaks for years and love them. I recently tried the Reds but in a 250 spine. They tune and fly very well but I think they are a little light, even for my liking. Therefore, I would go with the Reds in 350.
Thanks for the input, I know ppl that shot the blues but not the reds I guess I'll give them a shot! Thanks!
I'd say you should check out Victory. Their V1's are straight to within .001 for under $60/6 from hunter's friend. V3's are .003 at under $50/6 IIRC. Sent from my HTCEVOV4G using Tapatalk 2
Pro shops have the V3s for about $80/dz. That being said, I'm having a heck of a time getting consistency with broadheads and my V3s. (yes I'm tuned.) As I said on another thread, shaft# 1 always shoots high left, where shaft #2 always low right, etc... So far I've only shot grim reaper practice heads, but I'm waiting on a pack of rage practice heads to experiment with. Keep you posted if it looks like the shafts or if it's the 'reapers.
I havent tried the reds yet, but been shootin the blue streaks ever since they came out and i love them, i have so many blue streak arrows that i wount have to buy new arrows for a while so im stickin with them haha. I do wanna fling a few reds though, thats for sure
umm, yeah they are. I got my reds and rage hypo practice heads put together today, went out and shot a few rounds at 25yds. 4 field tips, 4 rage practice heads. The b-heads and field tips both shot to point of aim. Had to shift my point of aim or I would have broken my brand new shafts! most consistent broadhead/shaft combo I have ever shot. tomorrow I'll try my reaper practice heads on the Reds tomorrow, but either way I'm going with the hypodermics this year.
Reds are doing great for me. I shot the selects for a while. No complaints about them, but I think I am sticking with the reds.
Reds are very reliable. I was shooting bemans for a few years, opted to go with reds and Im shooting tighter groups already.
