Game over for me, if they're not cruising I'm not staying. Winds in the mid to high 20's. Wouldn't mind seeing them do this til Friday. Still way thick

Now that I can't find the arrow I'm not very confident. She didn't run like a hit deer.

Go to the spot where she was when you shot at her. Put your bow down right there and then search her trail almost on your hands and knees looking for blood. You might have to go 50 or more yards before you see your first drop of blood and there might not even be much if you didn't get a pass through. You owe it to that deer to look though.

Also, get back up in your treestand, look to where you shot at the deer, draw back with your bow like you are shooting at her again, make a mental note in your mind where your sights are aiming, get down and then go search that area for the arrow. It's a lot easier to find an arrow when you reconstruct the situation from where you took the shot rather than guessing while you're on the ground.

Definitely make sure you missed. The arrow would most likely be sticking out of the ground if you shot out of a tree. I'd look for it but not worried that much about a lost arrow.

Thanks for the help. I came home and got some breakfast and coffee to clear my head. I'm heading back out there to look some more now.

I think it's safe to say they're not cruising. I'm giving it until 11, only because I have nothing else to do

In my area the deer were out all night after the 3/4" of rain yesterday. Not much movement this morning.

It's been an interesting morning....so I got a really late start. I had a good idea of where I wanted to set up, get to the spot where my climber is, and I realize I have it locked to the tree and forgot my keys....no big deal, go across the property to another stand. Get to this stand and there are 3 tress that have fallen around the stand my tree is in. I see
A bunch of acorns on the ground and the he ground is pretty trampled so I think well this may not be so bad. So I climb, no sooner then I'm set up and sit down, I see a small buck take off the other way. He didn't blow or anything, but his flag was up.....and now I'm sitting here looking at these trees that have fallen and I'm freaking out because the wind is gusting 20mph and my tree is giving me a ride.....

Just had a big fork horn walk by at 30. Nice to at least see a deer. With the weather this morning, I'm tempted to hang around for a while

Perhaps it was removed intentionally because it was taking over the Bowhunting Talk Forum? lol

Yeah, only meant sticking out those winds. Climbed down and went to my other stand to check it out, had a storm blow through that area back in July, knocked some dead trees over. Spent some time opening the path back up amd headed home.

Sounds like a moderator/admin may have made it invisible to normal users for some reason. Wonder why?
