What do you guys think about the flag plant? I think the media went a little crazy with it. Wasn't my field though. Baker plays with a lot of emotion. That's one of the reasons we love him down here. Reminds me of tebow at times when he gets fired up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The media definitely ran with it.. but it was way over the top. What the Bucks did last year was go the end zone that held our own fans and sing our school song, "Carmen Ohio", as we do virtually every game. I guess your guys' media reported it as our fight song... it's not. I respect Mayfield and I think he's the best QB in the game, currently... but what he did is not apples to apples. And I think what most of us find classless, is that we do not have another game scheduled with you guys.. and it wouldn't matter, because he'd be gone anyway. The only possible reckoning would be if we turned this ship around and somehow made it into the playoffs... which we've done before. If that happens again, he should probably fake an injury and not dress lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They were running around our field with the sign (even on our logo) I get that they were motivated by what our back up qb said (that's never touched the field). Didn't bother me a bit. My take is if OU didn't want them holding a sign or singing their song (I know they sing after every game) then beat there ass in the game. It's what makes college football what it is. The flag planting is what OU/texas do every year. Maybe the buckeyes can get it turned around and be playoff bound. If OU can play with the same fire the rest of the season they will be there no doubt about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I loved it, Baker Mayfield for president. We did vote a man into office who stated "Grab them in the whoo whoo", so what is wrong with a little flag spike
I look at it if you don't want the other team celebrating on your home turf, don't roll over and let them back door you for four quarters. To the victor go the spoils.
Just about every team has celebrated at the big house the last 10 years, I am with buckeye, don't get beat. I ask Siri this morning who owns Ohio Stadium, she replied "Baker Mayfield"
Maybe we can bring this sign if we meet in the payoffs. Siri knows what's up lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
