First time hunting this piece. Have muddy sticks and looking to stay mobile. Where would you start to put a setup?

Yeah, you need to mark the boundaries and your possible entry points before we're going to be able to give an educated opinion. Lots of potential in the entire area.

There's a tool bar at the top of the GE frame. One is a yellow pushpin, the next one is a polygon and the next one lays a path. Each of the last two can be used. The polygon is probably the best but you'll need to use the tab for style, color and set opaque to 0% and set the color for the line to whatever color you want.

I like the inside corner of the field by the small lake just right of the river almost dead center of photo

Get a canoe and paddle that river looking for where they cross.

I like the funnel on the south edge of the N field where it comes close to the river. I'd set up an amphibious assault there.

I'm with Fitz on this one. I would kill to be able to use a canoe to get to a spot. Minimal scent trail getting in and quite. I also like the pinch point just south of the Northern most field, in between the river and field. Judging from the shadowing of the picture as well it seems the ground west of the area is high ground that will only help funnel the deer toward you. With a North wind that spot would be great. Although those winds are hard to come by early season

Personally, I would save the funnel south of the north field for an all day rut sit.

Just to verify when you say the whole area, does that include the fields on the two homeowner's property on north side of the map?

I agree with others about the funnel between the field and the river/creek. I would also look at the "L" shaped field in the center. Looks like there is a pond right off of it. I would take a look at a place between the pond and the field that would act as another funnel and possibly a staging area.

I'm assuming you mean the wooded areas? I highly doubt those fields coming off the two houses are public.

Blue and green are my first choices.
    Pink is my second choice
Yellow would be my third choices but are a LOOOONG way in.
Grey would be my preferred spot for yeti because I'm pretty darn sure thats the site of the original Patterson/Gemlin film.

Thanks for all the replies. Here is another parcel of land that I can hunt that's right next door to the first map I showed. Does this spot have any good looking spots or would you stick with the first setup? Boundaries are basically anywhere inside the entire map. Still unsure about where I can get in from.

The image is pretty low res.
