I would need more information, where are the scrapes, water holes? What's planted in the the field on the right upper corner? And have there been cattle in the other pastures or is that planted also

I wish I had that information, as well. This is public land. No cattle are grazing. The closest water hole appears to be approximately 0.75 miles to the NNW on private property. Other than that a large creek runs through the park and the closest point to access it is 600 yards to the south. These are all ag fields and possibly prairie grasses. I have no eyes on the ag planted. I've never been back there. This is just a map analysis and interpretation of likely deer activity based on topography and land layout.

If you were going in here blind where would you hunt? What stands out to you?

Are you thinking of a morning hunt, an all day hunt or an evening hunt?

I intend on going out in the morning and come back for an evening sit. I may do a ground sit in the morning, unless there is a great tree I can see in the dark to sit in. After my hunt I'll scout on my way back to the vehicle for an evening tree set up. I am torn on a few different areas to base my sit on.

I would sit the red Dot in the morning, you will be able to watch anything coming out of the ag field and going into the bedding in the grass and your sim stream will be going straight down that wood line where you can't shoot anyway, and if you access from the south you can just walk up the wood line and have one scent stream. In the evening I'll probably sit the blue spot unless I found better sign elsewhere, get in about 2:00 if you can there's probably some scrapes on that trail and I Buck might check them in the evening on the way to that ag[IMG]

I meant to put the red Dot a little bit further to the east right in line with that black strip, so that any win from the north will blow you're sent right down the trees not into the field

Many possibilities. I hope to learn that when I get out there. Going in blind.

No doubt. That's how it is sometimes though. I look at a map and try to make my best guess based on the knowledge I have and sometimes will ask peers their thoughts.

Is there anything that jumps out to you that would make you want to sit somewhere? Even without bedding intel?

those 2 dots seem to be where I would go blind. Just simply because if they are coming out of that field they have to come through those two areas. exactly where is a guess at best.

Well I tried it out this past Saturday. My buddy saw a yearling doe. We later scouted the area. Estimated 5 mile hike around and across ag field and down into the timber into the creek bottom. Absolutely little to no deer sign. The only thing I can think is deer avoid this area due to the equestrian trails throughout. I've not known deer to avoid horses, but we found no rubs, no scrapes, no scat, and very little track. We jumped over to an area with no equestrian trails and found 5 scrapes on a field edge. Not very promising. I will likely not return to this piece of public.

Thanks for all opinions and ideas.
