Legally yeah, like the DNR and FWS were the only ones shooting the wolves in Iron Co. last yr...and then they were sending them for a swim in the Montreal River and Lake Superior.

gotta quit the hijack of this thread for what is basically a rumor - sorry I brought it up.

I can't wait to live in Cataract, Wisconsin.

The reason I don't live there right now................. see bold part above.

I am working on it right now. I've got the land, one building, a year round trailer and am working the land for the build site for our house and a pole shed. In the last 2 years I have acquired so many tools and things that I've never needed before. UTV, chainsaws, log splitter, tractor, backhoe, grapple..... the list goes on.

Although it sounds like (and is) a lot of work, I'm having the time of my life.

Michigan? Have you ever been there? The U.P. is pretty cool.

Live in IL for awhile. This state has the amazing ability to make most other states look better. ;)

I woould really like to buy a farm in Iowa and retire there. That is the goal right now, not sure how it will play out.

If I can get my son to go Iowa to play ball his mom would have to follow, then my dream comes true.

Truer words have never been spoken! If we could export most all of our corupt politicians, it would be a decent place again!

One of my warm weather passions is motorcycling. That being said, I would move to eastern North Carolina in a heartbeat. Beautiful country, nice friendly folks, and arguably the best motorcycle riding in the country. It's hard to beat the scenery and serenity of the Blue Ridge Parkway, especially on 2 wheels. Not too far from Illinois for deer season, so I could always come back "home" to hunt our property. Sounds like a win-win situation to me........just have to convince the wife. That could be a challenge! :-)

    This question plagues me alot.

Small town Ohio is my home, my families been here forever, i have a large amount of family all around me, we have the family farm, i have a couple decents jobs now and im going to school.

Once i become a National Registered Paramedic though, the possibilities open up. Anybody who knows the fire service knows how hard the Job competition is in Ohio for full-time gigs....but i could move to a place like NC, SC, Florida (pretty much anywhere south), Cali..out west...and get a job, either as a medic or a fire/medic (preferred) pretty easily.

Now obviously its going to be hard for me to move, but if i do its going to be somewhere where i can still hunt and fish. (deer and trout or turkey and catfish...it dont matter).

Of course the plan is to join the military for 4 years so maybe ill see how i feel after that...

    x1000!!!

My current job would allow for relocating anywhere my company has a major facility (> 200,000 sf). We currently have 25 such facilities not in Illinois. When my kids are grown and out of high school, the wife and I plan to leave this state (unless I have a different job in my company by then). My choice would be Colorado. I'm currently selling our facility in Montana, so no luck there :(, and we don't have one in Wyoming or New Mexico, so those two are out. Looks like Colorado it is! Or I have to wait until I retire
