the wife actually applied for a job in the twin cities area on the east side of St.Paul, if she gets it we may look for land south of there or WI.
it is a bad pic buck was bigger then he looks body wise.. Killed by a freind of mine there was a write up of it locally will see if I can track it down and get exact weight.
If I worked East of St. Paul I would live in Wisconsin, a commute thru St. Paul and Minneapolis every day would suck. Land in the St. Croix valley is expensive.
It's not too bad a bit north of 94.. the ideal job would be a telecommute position where she would only have to go in a few days a month... we would sell our home and rental condo down here in Roswell and have a fair amount of cash to play with.. at any rate our options are wide open as to where we go..
I know it's on your "no chance" list, but I wouldn't over look the eastern shore of VA. Cheap land, great deer hunting, spectacular waterfowl and some of the best fishing that isn't the gulf coast. Still very rural but close enough to VA beach/Norfolk to commute.
Minnesota is nice if you like cold, snow, wolves and weird politics. MN was one of only six States to want jimmy Carter for a second term and the only state to want mondale over Reagan in the following election. Jesse Ventura? AL Franken???? Weirdos!!!
Christine If you looked at Minnesota voting trends you would see the reason why weirdos get elected in Minnesota. The only people that vote democrat for the most part are the people that live by the tall buildings, the citidiots. I do not wolves in my area and there is only a trace of snow on the ground here.
I lived in a part of illinois that didn't vote for the Chicago Democrats but the whole state suffered anyway. Nuke the twin Cities, then we'll talk. :p
I avoid going inside the 494-694 loop if at all possible. Every time I drive to the airport I am thankful that I do not live down there.
Wide open for moving options and you had to go eliminate all the good options. No further east than New Mexico. Start your search there and go enjoy life! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Look at Evansville, IN, or just outside of it. Great hunting, lots of public land, Evansville is a big city that your wife would have plenty of business, even yourself...
If you end up in Minnesota try and find hunting land in SE MN if possible. You could kill a good buck in most areas of the state but your chances increase quite a bit in the bottom corner IMO.
My short list WI was born there MI [northern LP] was raised there MN SE part of state.. KY great hunting beautiful state mild winters southern IN, and southern OH, About the same as KY TN [west but not near Memphis]no personal income tax great deer hunting pretty countryside. MO.Northern half hunting fishing but no major metro areas for jobs. Iowa for the obvious still looking at a few others..
All this snow is driving me crazy! :-) It may surprise some people that MN doesn't crack the top ten states for highest avg snowfall per year. Yes, Winter can be brutal times but Summer and Fall are fantastic.
I used to drive through Minnesota when I lived in North Dakota. You're not fooling me. And if the weather and politics weren't enough.... There's the Vikings. Bwahahaha!!
Christine I knew you used to live in ND. Jabs at the Vikings won't work on me as I've been a Steelers fan my entire life
