Missouri is sportsman friendly, and we have one of the best fall seasons anywhere. ( All 2 weeks of it) Our other 5 seasons are somewhat of an acquired taste......
There are plenty of big bucks in MN and over 5 million acres of public hunting ground to find them. People who complain of never shooting nice bucks generally aren't trying very hard to get one.
Cooter we get enough Iowans and people from the Dakotas coming to fish we don't need them coming to hunt. Plus I would not hunt deer if I had to do it on public land, not that the land is bad it is the public part that sucks.
I wasn't sure if you were joking or not? I agree with not wanting to draw hunters from other states. I mainly hunt private but at times go to archery only public refuge areas which are not well known and hold HUGE bucks.
a lot of states not represented yet come on folks make me want move sell me your state... deer hunting , weather, jobs, culture, reasonable land prices [yes it still exists],good people, lower cost of living then ATL. etc etc. Deer hunting is not my top factor but it's up there..The wife has to be able to get work in of her fields of insurance or insurance risk management possibly cyber security ...As I have said I can do anything and would just as soon work our hobby farm and land..
Yeah, that's how I view it. If I'm moving around in the east, I'm heading south and near the coast. Warmer weather. If I wanted outdoor experiences and great opportunities for a variety of game, I'm heading west.
been there done that great place to vacation awful place to live, now you did say near the coast which might be better..We lived in Seagrove beach about an 1/8 mile from the beach for 5 years the cost of living is outrageous and during the tourist season you can't drive anywhere... There is however some very good deer hunting in the northern panhandle of FL,
I like to visit Florida in the winter, during summer it is unbearable too hot too humid. Property taxes are high and too many old folks driving around. Soberity check points in the afternoon? Small deer too.
for the most part you are correct especially the further south you go, but in the northern part of the state they kill a few good bucks...I still need to add it to my list of states I would not live in[again] here is a awesome FL buck...
Minnesota really is a great place to live, so much to do if you enjoy the outdoors. There are good jobs to be had and traffic is not as bad as other large cities. You can work in the Twin Cities and live in the country without have to drive more than an hour. I love having all four seasons, sure it gets cold but that helps to keep the riff raff out. One thing about moving here from another state, Minnesotans are pretty provincial no matter how long you live here you are not one of us.
It would be only for the winter when we retire. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. PA is pretty great for us, but it's not on your list
