Should you be in the woods in a stand or can you draw buck out into a field by calling? I have a nice ground bling setup 40 yard s off a edge of the woods with a cut soy bean field between, it's already produce two doe so far this year. Should I continue hunting there or put a setup inside the woods for the rut?

Why fix it if it isn't broke? If your hunting a food source which is more than likely attracting does then the bucks will come. Pinch points & heavily used trails are also productive for seeing cruising bucks. I'm not seeing any rut activity yet where I hunt but it should kick in here any day now.

You need to be where the does are... Plain and simple. We have a cut corn field that produces bucks every year because it attracts does.
