Christine, I left IL. just in time. It was sad to leave, but I just couldn't take IL. and what that state has become. I got an opportunity in Texas this last fall and I gladly took it and I don't see myself leaving anytime soon. No state income tax, best fresh water fishing in the nation, and I can't wait to get on some boars. People are 200% more friendly than they where in Chicago. So far I'm pretty happy with my decision.

Illinois will chase out those evil corporations and conservative citizens. It will then become a liberal utopia where everyone lives happily ever after.

You could try to find a higher paying job some where else in the state to offset the crazy taxes.

Other than that I think your first three choices would be the best options to focus on.

Never heard about it while I was there if they did.

We took archery for an elective class and if I remember right... the instructor was named Gordan. He wasn't overly tall and probably in his late 40's - early 50's. With a little begging... he let a few of us use our bows instead of the schools. It was a fun class.

Christine if y'all move anywhere around the Dallas area I'll be happy to put you on some hogs to hunt. I'll make sure you get at least one good private land deer hunt as well. The economy here is in pretty good shape. Most of the contractors I know are looking to hire. If not now then soon. And you can keep chickens in most cities!:) If you have any questions at all about Texas just let me know

What blows me away is this country voted in one of these insane Chicago style politicians as the freaking president.

Christine,if your serious about Ky,I will help you out any way I can.

I have a feeling you would like the area I live in and I am only about 40 minutes from Shawneetown Ill.

I heard about the 66% increase in income tax and thought to myself that might just bankrupt the state.

The 66% comes out of our rear ends but the Corporate Tax rate has been moved to 9.5% which could drive out more corporations. Less corporations will bring less jobs and the 5% we are paying will need to be raised yet again to cover the lack of fiscal discipline:(

Although I agree with you,the income tax affects spending and the willingness to stay in a state that doesn't have the common sense of a rat.(I guess common sense isn't very common.)

Tax and spend, typical liberal politics.Illinois should be getting much closer to that utopia we all seek to find.
