I don't know what game you watched but I thought Favre played one of his best games of the year yesterday...330 yards against Pittsburgh on the road? The interception towards the end went through the running backs hands and then to the defender...hard to fault the QB for that. Anyway, I don't think anyone thought the Vikes were not going to lose any games this season. It was a hard fought game with the Steelers catching a break at the end.
Easy now, lets not get rash here.... The fumble...ugly...but football... But the pick was NOT Favres fault, it hit the receiver (or should i say running back Chester Taylor) in the hands, deflected off and was taken house. He had already led them down the field to set up a game winning score. Favre played damn good against the 2007, 2008 1st place and currently 10th best in 09' defense. 34-51 for 334 yards and the 1 pick (and fumble). It was a great game.
Steve, Cooter, not sure which game this guy was watching. Favre played excellent :D Harvin may wind up with OROY too, to go along with Favre's possible 4th MVP (if Rodgers doesn't get it)
Hey now, I said that in the pre-season!! You get no credit if he does :D The thing that got me, twice, favre could have made a tackle...I know he's old, bla, bla bla, injury this/that bla bla...but then he'll go lay out for a block down the field...that pissed me off.
Well, laying out that 49ers backer must have been enough for him this year And you can take the credit for Harvin
That was a fun game to watch with a dumb play at the end that decided the game. Any article or newscast you read credits the vikes for playing that well on the steelers home turf. BTW that was in no way tripping.....:D
lol Vikings would of easily won that game. The play at the end that was about to win it was a fluke. Happens! Favre is playing fantastic and they easily won that game if a few bad calls such as the tripping call that never happened. lol Can't wait to beat down Green Bay again next week.
Let's see.......... Favre turns it over inside the 10 yard line twice in the 4th quarter and both result in a Pitt touchdown and he's still the man? Favre lost the game period. The INT was thrown high and hard. Good recipe for a tipped ball/interception. Why not hit him in the gut with it? How they didn't tie or win that game is all on Brett IMO.
Lmao! You are the 1st to say that, don't surprise me none though from you. Even Tomlin said the Vikes played outstanding but just had a few things go against them. That ball should've been caught with ease, he just didn't make the catch (It happens). That was just one of many bad bounces for the Vikes and they still barely lost the game.
lol... yeah a few things go against them like Favre turning the ball over inside the redzone twice in the 4th quarter.
LOL, I knew this thread would get a few feathers ruffled........Favre did play good, but just like last week, something goes wrong and you lose a game !!!!
Huh...they won the previous week? No feathers ruffled here. It sucks to lose but I thought I saw a lot of good things from the Vikings in that game. I thought they played better than in their win the previous week. But chit happens....you can't win em all.
It's funny how not much is made of kickers missing during the first three quarters of a game...but if they miss one towards the end it means the other team is lucky. Kickers miss kicks...its part of the game. The Vikings MADE their game winning kick with under two minutes left to win the game.
