I am looking to take my 13 & 19 year old on there first hog hunt. We are on a tight budget and I need a place that would be easy enough for them to take a hog with a bow. We live in Ohio and are willing to travel 12 hours one way if need be. Any help would be geatly appreciated.
That's cool my dad and I have talked a lot about selling out hog hunts down here on the red river in southern ok but its in the plans for maybe next year or the year after because we will have housing for hunters and just more hog setups in the near future but check out lonestar hunts in henrietta or petrolia tx and if you cant find anything i can give u a number just pm i know the guy and worked on his place for his hog setups and they have multiple 300lb hogs get killed monthly they get a lot of good business and they're dirt cheap since pigs are so abundant here
I don't know what's reason-able but there is a Double Boar ranch up near Clarion Pa. They do offer meat hunts for less than trophy prices. Google it, they have a great lodge never hunted there but it's near our camp so we toured the place.
http://www.lonestarhunts.com/hogs.php 300 for trophy and 150 for meat but just check the website out its a good place ive worked there for the guy "Robby" and hes the guide there, hes a good guy and loves the outdoors and they have great lodging and and beautiful scenery http://www.lonestarhunts.com/media/100_1507.jpg http://www.lonestarhunts.com/media/12-1-2005-14.jpg just a few pics
hog hunting Last year i went to Mesquite Ranch in south Texas hog hunting and its all archery hunting. It was only 300 dollars for three days and three hogs no trophy fees and they have a fully furnished bunkhouse. Gerald the guide was great. It was a fun time.
