    I always love hunting mornings especialy in rut just abt 8:30 everytime thats when i have best luck i never really have big luck in evening hunts as much as i do in the morning but my fav time is late october mprning hunts for sure

    I have had great luck in the morning early in the season if I can pattern a buck that's still in his summer routines. I hunt all day during the rut from the last week in October through mid November and I have shot most of my bucks mid day by water.

    Late October mornings are my favorite time to hunt. Have I ever killed a deer in that time? nope. But I love sitting in a treestand with a nice frost just as the sun is coming up. That's as good as it gets IMHO. Seeing a deer just makes it all the better.

    November 1st thru November 21st.

    Mornings.

    Cloudy, cold as hell, with a little rain or snow.

    Last two weeks of October .... with crispy frost mornings, and just enough sun to help warm me up from time to time. little wind, so I can hear the animals in the woods. I seem to have more luck during the seeking phase.

    I have a lot of fun hunting the peak of the rut (November 3 - 12) in my area, but I've never actually taken a buck during that time. All of my bow bucks have been in October.

    Mid-day hours on a long all day sit with perfect crisp chill in the air and the bucks just getting peaked with interest cruising for the first receptive does.

    Oct 28-Nov8 is when I see most activity here in N. IL. With small pieces of land I usually hunt PM. Quieter getting into the stand.

    I have the best luck in the morning, but i'd much rather hunt the evenings all season long. the last week of October until mid-November i like to sit all day.

    The last 2 weeks of October, and the first 2 weeks of November. At all my sets the last few years, the afternoon has been swinging from about 2-dark. every once in a while you'll get a jam packed morning!
