I felt like going out and trying to shoot a few yesterday. It was in the 70's . But, another cold fronts pushing through tonight so its duck hunting for a while longer.

If it's warm enough I plan on trying to stick some fish in mid-March.........

70's!!! I hate you. It's only 63 in the house and my furnance already runs too much. ;)

Normally we'd hit the warm-water lakes in Jan and March (for some reason we almost always skip Feb) Our first big shoot is the third weekend in April. Right now we have the boat torn apart tho'.

Going to redo the deck..... and we have a fan we're putting on it.

...a fan powered pontoon boat. It will be interesting. :)

I think our is usually around late April and early March. Right in the middle of turkey season:(. But if the birds aren't cooperating, you can always try and shoot some fish. Just make sure to keep your bow in the truck at all times;):D

As soon as I get my boat fixed up and ready to go. I have some plans and with a few more phone calls to Christine and Kendall I just might have a decent rig for bowfishing.:D

John, if you're ever looking for someone to kill a few fish give me a call. I looked into starting last spring, but never got much further than that.....and then I had to sell the boat :(

I start sticking carp when the lakes backup on to the river bottoms. That's usually in May. The carp get in the weeds and feed and you can slip up on them and WHACK! Now that's fun!

We've got over 3' of snow on the ground and over 30" of ice on the lakes here. Temps are 20 degrees below normal. Doesn't seem like spring will ever get here. On a positive note, this weather will have the turkeys grouped up big time come March 25th!!!

20 degrees below normal??? WTF happened to our global warming? Get Al Gore on the phone! I'd like tell him "Yeah I think the polar bears are endangered." En-danger of freezing their butts off! LOL What a putz.

    Rant over... carry on.
