Simple, the majority are tired of the agenda, and people buckling to that agenda.

He was asked his honest opinion. He gave it. He was fired.

If a gay had been asked his/her honest opinion, gave it and was fired for it... there would be an uproar too by the very people who think Phil should be fired and are happy he was fired.

You know it, I know it and so does everyone else.

Would you still be asking your question or would you be mad because they were fired and in an uproar ?? Honest question. Go!!

    Yes. Lol.

That being said, I don't have an issue with gays... Mostly. I prefer not to get into the rest.

My anger lies in this whole mess. Phil is a, presumably, innocent god fearing guy. He was asked a loaded question and gave his heart felt answer. People with a sour taste took it as such and raised a word.

I think it's because the show is very popular to the majority because Phil thinks like we do and now Hollywood is removing him from the air because A&E doesn't like what he said out loud.

Kind of like all the people watching Foxnews because foxnews shows the news and a conservative view.

Depends on what the gay might have said

Again, depends on what they said

And I agree, there is plenty of hypocrisy from liberals. They do love preaching tolerance, but they often cannot tolerate differing views from their own. Same can be said from conservatives.

Those that claim this was "shocking" are ignorant. GQ, A&E and everyone who follows the Robertsons knew/know exactly what they feel and believe. He merely shared it...this was a long time coming. They are a very close knit family that loves God above everything and family second....they have said it before family and God over the fame no questions asked. This was just a matter of time and if it swallows up their A&E deal, they won't care. It lessons the businesses that carry their duck calls (and deer calls now), they won't care.

Phil learned first hand that it is 100% wrong to voice ones beliefs or opinions in this country if you are of the conservative Christian viewpoint. Tolerance is not a two-sided coin any longer.

Because A&E made its name and money from HIM. They are the highest rated cable reality show of all time.

Then they attack the man who made them the money for his personal views/statements that were not made on the show

    It's hypocrisy.

And many people relate to the Robertsons, so naturally they are getting support now. I find it quite simple.

Views which they knew all along, it's not like he and the family hide their beliefs.

The show was founded on Christian morals.

He got sent on leave for speaking on those Christian morals.

    What not to understand?

Yeah...and it's why they probably kept it from coming up in the show.

And then Phil goes to GQ and states his views. I'm sure A&E knew it was only a matter of time.

He was punished for lumping gays in with bestiality and terrorists. He could have simply stated that he disagreed with homosexuality based on his religious beliefs and kept it at that and nothing would have ever come of it.

"We just love 'em, give 'em the good news about Jesus — whether they're homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort 'em out later, you see what I'm saying?"

I wish more "christians" would live this way.

So he used an extreme example.

Doesn't make a difference in his eyes. And that's the point.

But as conservatives... we must go along with it or we are the bad guys. So there you have it. We have come full circle. The liberals can say and do what ever they want... but we better toe the line.

We are sick of this type of thinking. That is your answer.

Not suprised at all a bunch of gay folks got butt hurt(<--lol). These days, generally speaking, everyone is hypersensitive and feel slighted by every little thing and what to cry and whine about to somebody. The whole "poor me" complex. Those 2 quotes taken alone could be offensive but if you take the whole interview in context gays were just one of many "sinners" he listed, talked about, used as example and he definitely tied it into actual scripture. Not surprisingly the terrorists, *****-mongers, drunkards, greedy folk, and other sinners couldn't care less about his comments. Wonder why that is?
