    So we can't be happy when we're in trying times. They had God, shelter and food at a time when many had nothing.

    I think many forget phils saying is happy happy happy, he states it in many situations.

    Not everywhere, many states that's not the case.

    They can find some BS reason to fire you, but I'm pretty sure they couldn't fire me for something I said to some friends on the couch at my house.

    Did he go out after work for dinner? oh wait they could not eat in the same place.
    Maybe the talked politics, oh wait they could not vote.
    Maybe they went hunting on the weekends, black men just love to be around whites with guns on those days

    Sorry but Phil, me nor anyone else knew how happy those people were at home.

    I have a happy happy attitude at work everyday, at home sometimes not. I work with people who seem happy as heck, but there home life is a wreck.

    That's point, he did not know, he did not hang with them. They just worked together, and skywalker is correct his perception was they were "happy". Until you walk a mile in another mans shoes, you don't know.
