You can, Phil can and I can get our beliefs across without offending anyone, it's really not that hard. Unless you're a Nazi

And I bet you would care more if someone were to tell you to stop praying.

    Why not?

    Matthew 10:32-34 ESV
So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.

    1 John 4:15 ESV

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

Do you think that mabye thats because ignorance is bliss?

So then rather than saying Phil said something offensive you should be calling the Bible offensive. All he did was reference the verse that talks about different kinds of sinners. Did you even read the interview? It sounds like you are forming an opinion on something you didn't even read:

What, in your mind, is sinful?

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” he says. Then he paraphrases Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

Correct me if I'm wrong but Phil Robertson didn't write 1 Corinthians 6:9

Why not? Because it's none of my damn business what you or anyone else believes. The Bible is not a free licenses to bother other people, it's not. People have the right to be left alone if they desire.

I am going to take a stab, but the Catholic Youth Organization nor St. Ursula my daughters school is going to tell us to stop Praying.

I am not saying those didn't fight in wars cant speak on strong issues. That was not my point. My points this....there have been homosexual men who've had a greater, more positive impact on this Earth than Phil. I also saying that many homosexual men have died protecting this country. Phil chose to not enter the Vietnam War when his country needed him whereas many a homosexual man served and died in that War. Actions speak louder than words.

Your right, its not a liscence to bother people, but theres nothing... absolutely nothing saying you shouldn't answer a direct question when asked. As a matter of fact i need a minute to look up the verse but i belive denying the teachings of christ is likened unto blasphemy.

Cool story. I don't have a clue why or how we started talking about homosexual soldiers but I am thankful for anyone who fights for our country and protects our freedom.

So if a Muslims just speaks from the Koran it's ok? If Phil stated quote Koran passages, you would be ok with it?

I really don't care what others do or how they base their morals, if they are not bothering me.

    Mark 8:38
"For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."

That's great, but has nothing to do with leaving people alone who do not want to be bothered.

Sure, they have every right to free speech too. The point is, he was asked a question about his beliefs and he answered it. You're making it sound like this was on TV or he went door to door saying that homosexuals are sinners just to get a rise and push his beliefs onto other people. He simply answered a question by paraphrasing the Bible.

Dood, this speaks volumes. Just stick your head back in the ground and be pissed when they come shut your daughters school down due to the separation of church and state. Or wont accept her high school diploma.

People who dont want to be bothered probably shouldn't have read the gq article about a white heterosexual christian male and his beliefs then. He didn't call them up and tell them they're going to hell. He answered a question in an interview with a bible verse.

That's the point of being a Public Figure. It's in everyone's home.

No one wants to answer the Muslim question?

I did answer it, go read it. Also, just because someone is a public figure doesn't mean they lose the rights to their freedom of speech or belief system.

So now you're telling them what to read, nice

"It seems to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man's anus," he explained. "That's just me. I'm just thinking, 'There's more there! She's got more to offer.' I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical."

where is that in the bible? It's my favorite line of the entire interview, which I loved btw

    To your Muslim question:

Sure, they have every right to free speech too. The point is, he was asked a question about his beliefs and he answered it. You're making it sound like this was on TV or he went door to door saying that homosexuals are sinners just to get a rise and push his beliefs onto other people. He simply answered a question by paraphrasing the Bible.

Are you honestly going to say that the Bible doesn't say that homosexuality is a sin. Regardless if either of us agree with the Bible or not, that's pretty sad. Leviticus 18:22
