Condemning is left to one person/entity and that is God. Personal interpretation cannot judge, can merely quote what God has stated, but ultimately cannot know for certainty. That's why Christians are to merely point out sin or identify it, but the second we begin stating hell or heaven without leaving that to God's discretion is where the issue arises. Quote the scripture if speaking of heaven or hell, do not speak with your human tongue for it will deceive and lie and be misinterpreted by the masses.

If I'm a public figure, and I like being a public figure, even if I have certain beliefs, I'm going to choose my words carefully in this PC age we live in, because I like being a public figure and I do not want to piss anyone off.

You can say that would mean I'm catering or caving in to the PC crowd, but that is just how I feel.

 

Any person with an ounce of logical thought processing understands his comments were dumb for his business partnership with A and E. After that it is a free country and he can say what he wants and that is cool with me. As for A and E firing him or suspending him, oh well. Many people have been fired or disciplined at their places of employment for making dumb comments that effect the business monetarily or its public perception.

I gotcha. I think we both have our opinion. All in all, I think he cares more about his beliefs and being able to pray on camera and reference the Bible over being PC and being a public figure. It will be interesting to see if his suspension becomes permenant and what the rest of the cast does. I would be a little disappointed in them if they chose to carry on without him and not back him up.

Are you implying that business partnership is more important than morals, values, and character. He'd be a hypocrite if it were the other way around and A&E told him he had to do a commercial for gay rights and he went along with it.

They may not have a choice. A&E probably own the show and they are contractually obligated.

I'll try to understand Gods take on things from observing nature and all his/her creations on this Earth and in the Universe. I don't want to read some drunken homosexual (please understand the irony in this and not that I dislike gays) monks interpretation of Gods law and take it as fact. It ain't even close.......
