My brothers stepson is a bigtime deer hunter is southern Missouri and tells me that when rattling, place a styrofoam cup on one of the tines on the rack when rattling. The cup acts as a megaphone to get the rattling sound louder. Has anyone else tried this?
Never heard that before. Besides a styrofoam cup would be a flattened mess by the time I'd pack it in to stand
Sure I've played with the bones every now and then but I'd never thought of using a cup. The best time I like to use them is the last two weeks of Octorber and the first two weeks of November. They ( the deer ) really respond well to the sound of tickling bones weather it's soft and short or loud and long.
