Congrats and that's very inspiring! I rarely remember to think about what happens if I get a deer as it's been so long :)

I have a couple older ones. They are wider and longer than most of what I see out there now. There are even holes in the top edge that you can put paracord through to truss up your animal. Getting the legs in tight to the body makes this work the best. Add in a chest harness and away you go.

I also have a cart that gets used where its not too thick.

I'll be 58 in a couple weeks. I hope to be going at 70!

Was in my 2 man ladder stand last evening. Nice to have the extra room to move around some. After using hang on stands, I think they will go I will have to invest in a couple more ladder stands. Easier to put up, easier to hunt out of and the extra bit of room is invaluable.

Most of the carts I have seen have the bicycle type wheels on them. They sink into the ground and makes them hard to pull. If you get one ,check into putting the wheels off the front of a Garden Tractor on it. Wider the better. My lawn cart has 8" wide flotation type tires off a larger Cub Cadet. The lawn tractor tires are smaller. Good luck guys and stay safe.

Yes some type of balloon tire would be the way to go the inflation is better then hard rubber. Be safe in those stands!
