There is very minimal trolling on this site that I have seen. I rarely troll anymore. I guess I've matured with my age. I'll post something that I know will cause a decent debate, but that is not trolling IMO.
I think we can all agree that the wisest members are the ones who joined in May 2013 and have around 460 posts. Anyone with more posts than that is a troll, anyone with fewer posts must not be intelligent enough to contribute to meaningful conversation.
A bigger concern should be the threads being made in bowhunting talk. It's turning me into one of those guys that only hangs out in the trail cam forum.
I think we can all agree on this... It's the off season, give em a break. What kind of threads would you like to see? I've noticed that every time a "tactics" thread is started, it tends to die within a few days.
For one "The Hottest Woman Hunter" has 0% to do with Bowhunting...and is cooler material. Everyone seems to post to the Bowhunting Talk section by default anymore...
At least it isn't MODS posting for recipes in the cooler instead of the recipe forum cough cough dan cough
It's easy to criticize moderators for what they do/don't do and when they do/don't do it. I have been there on other forums in that position and I can say I am glad I am not doing it any more. It's a balancing act where you have to attempt to put friendships aside and look at the whole forum as a big community that you are somewhat policing. Rules are simple, you cross boundaries and it's time-out time. There will always be that neighbor that nobody likes, that one that rubs you the wrong way. It's how you would deal with it in your own neighborhood with your family all around you. Same is true here. For the trolls that are out there just looking to instigate a fight, well hopefully some day their mommy or daddy give them that hug they have been yearning for their whole lives.....
