In NM, August for bear and antelope. Sept 1st for deer and elk, then everything else falls in behind that. Off range Oryx is year round. For me, it starts Sept 15 when my archery elk starts.
My hunting begins around the last week of October. I think the state of MN usually opens around 3rd weekend of Sept.
Another ND hunter here- Sept 1! Beautiful bucks on both properties I'm hunting! The anticipation is killing me!
My season already started. :D I had an 'any weapon' doe antelope tag and my 'any weapon' cow elk tag had start dates of August 1st. The reality is that I filled my doe antelope tag using a .338 lapua magnum at 630 yards. Hard terrain to sneak up on anything and the antelope does in this area generally give a whole new meaning to 'paranoid'. I had to quit using my uber redneck, lifted, rumbly exhaust chevy and go with my slightly stealthier 4runner just to get within glassing range. The pronghorn did not like that red truck. My archery cow/spike elk tag starts on August 19th. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
C: Good shooting. Is making use of the rolling terrain the 'going in plan'? I see a lot of rolls/ravines, but I can't judge the distances in your pics.
My season starts September 16th here in North East Florida. Getting excited Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
