In Ohio we have a few we keep up year round, but sometimes we hang new ones depending on the deer sign. We usually have those hung by now or will in a week or two. I have been recovering from surgery so I haven't been able to help much, so I haven't been up there in a couple months. In PA, I hunt almost all public land so I only use my Lone Wolf climber.

My WI ladder stand stays up year round over the food source. I'll probably hang 1-2 lock ons next weekend and clear some lanes, check my cams and acorn scout. Then I'll bring my climber when I actually head up to camp to hunt.

I am now done, until the deer change their minds again? My son and I hung 3 sets this morning. Next time I visit any of these stands, I will have my bow with me!

The hunting itself is! The poison ivy, tics, mosquitoes, extreme humidity, etc.... I can live without, BUT you can't have the fun til the work is done! Feels good to be done with the preliminary work!!!

When you were listing all of the "hunting fun" you left out chiggers, deer flies and tripping on grapevines.
